Still, have something on your mind? Don’t hesitate to pick up that phone, give us a call, and book an appointment with one of our physical therapists.

  • What happens during my first visit?

Your first visit is extremely crucial since it provides us with an opportunity to get to know each other better. We may ask you to bring specific reports and documents along to your consultation. So make sure you come prepared! Here’s what you can expect when you visit us for the very first time:

    Submitting your documents:

We recommend downloading our form and filling it out before arriving for your appointment. If you have been referred to us, we would like details about that as well. We will then proceed to copy out your insurance card.

    Consultation:

Your meeting with our physical therapist will be the most significant part of your visit. After examining your paperwork, our therapist will ask you questions about your concerns, specific physical challenges, and goals. They will then perform an objective evaluation of your problem areas with the help of techniques like palpation, muscle testing, posture assessment, and more.

    Treatment Plan:

Once the consultation is complete, our physical therapist will proceed to draw up a detailed treatment plan for you. This will serve as a blueprint for the rest of your treatment with us and will clearly outline the goals you hope to achieve.

  • How should I prepare for my appointment?

Before you arrive for your physical therapy appointment with us, we will inform and expect you to follow particular guidelines to ensure you have a quick and seamless experience with us. Here are some of the things that should serve you as a checklist before your appointment -

    • Bring the physical therapy referral that has been provided to you by your doctor. It will help give us your medical practitioner’s details and will also help us understand their perspective.
    • Do not forget to bring your insurance card or your worker’s compensation claim number if your insurance will be covering the cost of your treatment.
    • Wear simple, loose-fitted clothing so that it is easy for you to expose the area that we will examine and treat. You can wear a tank top for shoulder issues, and loose-fitting t-shirts and pants are perfect for most other issues.
  • What does a physical therapist do?

Most people dismiss physical therapists as doctors who merely help people recover from physical injuries and ailments. In reality, a physical therapist is a movement and physical function expert who performs multiple roles in different circumstances. An expert physical therapist treats aches and chronic pains as well as deals with the prevention of issues and improves the quality of life of their patients.

Physical therapists work with people suffering from acute injuries from falls or accidents and help them regain their natural movements. However, they also work closely with people who suffer from chronic orthopedic concerns and help them lead better and happier lives that aren’t dependent on pain medications and surgeries. Similarly, they also perform the role of consultants and enablers to sportspeople and athletes who constantly need guidance to improve their performance and prevent injuries.

Many physical therapists also work in industrial settings to help workers and employees avoid injuries and long-term orthopedic ailments. They study postures and body movements to pinpoint areas of the body which could be at risk due to specific actions they perform at their workplace. These various roles only confirm the idea that a good physical therapist can potentially transform the lives of people suffering from orthopedic issues.

  • Why should I opt for CURE Physical Therapy’s treatments?

For starters, we are the only local clinic that offers direct billing when it comes to insurance. Offering this makes us remarkably accessible to all kinds of clients since we accept Medicaid, Medicare, workers compensation, and any private insurance. All you need to do is share your details with us during your consultation, and we will take care of the rest of the hassles.

But our promise of exceptional client care doesn't end there; it extends to other aspects of our services as well. We have a skilled all-female staff with several Arabic and Spanish speakers, which again makes it easier for several people to feel at home at CURE Physical Therapy. All our experts come with exceptional industry experience and regularly astonish our clients with their effective treatments and warmth.

Most importantly, we believe in breaking down any and every barrier that stands between people from receiving quality physical therapy. Compared to other large clinics and hospitals, we offer easy and flexible appointments, personal treatment sessions, and a variety of specialized treatments that are difficult to access.

  • What kind of treatments will I receive?

At CURE Physical Therapy, we employ a diverse mix of techniques and services to narrow down on the best treatment plan for every client. Depending on the injury you have or the ailment you are struggling with, we may recommend services like therapeutic massages, stroke rehab, lymphedema treatments, or manual therapy.

The services will include many different kinds of interventions to alleviate pain, strengthen muscles, ease knots, restore movement and rehabilitate patients. Active range of motion (AROM), gait or walking training, isometrics, isotonics, soft tissue mobilization, posture training, cryotherapy, neck traction, progressive resistive exercises (PRE), passive range of motion (PROM), and pelvic traction are just some of the treatments we employ regularly. All our physical therapists are well-versed with these techniques and can expertly use them to facilitate desired results in clients.

The specific services and treatments you receive will depend on your initial consultation with us. Our experts will use their experience and knowledge to create a customized treatment plan tailored to give you the relief you seek.
